THE BASICS:
I’m just getting started and want to see what you have but I’m not ready to actually purchase a dress at the moment.
This is dangerous territory. Our turnover is rapid, and we sell our dresses much faster than our clients sometimes realize. Once a dress is gone, we’ll never have anything like it again. We strongly recommend waiting to shop until you’re officially ready to “meet“ your gown and potentially take her home. In the mean time, check out recent bridal clients whose weddings we've shared on Facebook, our Instagram account, our Pinterest pages, and our Etsy shop to get a better handle on what our gowns look like.
Do I have to make an appointment?
Yes, please. We show gowns privately and the gowns aren't available to browse through otherwise. We pull all your gowns ahead of time and have them waiting for you in the fitting room when you arrive. Call us at 612-716-8006 or email us. Please be prepared to answer the questions below.
How do you know what to pull for me?
Great question! We request some key info:
- your wedding date
- normal dress size AND height
- budget before alterations
- are you local/can you return to MN for 2-5 alteration appointments?
- have you ever tried on a wedding gown before this moment
We’re able to immediately narrow down our entire stock to about 15 dresses based on these factors, and those 15ish gowns are what we begin with at your appointment.
Do you sell online?
Yes! Visit our Etsy shop to better browse our inventory

I have a hard time making decisions. Do you hold dresses?
Unfortunately, we are not able to hold gowns at this time. We encourage you to take pictures during your appointment to help you make this big decision.
What do alterations really mean?
The alterations process is a bit different in our shop, as we find most brides want to work with a seamstress, which we'll recommend, to alter necklines, remove sleeves & long trains (possibly using the fabric from these discarded parts to open the bodice and turn a size 2 into a larger size), or discard more elaborate vintage details such as dropped waists. This is in addition to fit alterations.
Why redesign the wedding gowns? Isn’t vintage quite popular right now?
While vintage clothing in general is very popular, most people are unfamiliar with what vintage wedding dresses actually look like. We work with our brides to bring out the lovely timeless quality in every wedding gown.
I’m plus size/ very tall/ quite petite/ a human being.
I don’t think a vintage wedding dress will fit me!
We can comfortably accommodate sizes Petite 000-Tall 14, and everything in between. If a dress is not quite right, a good seamstress can work magic to make it fit you perfectly. In other words, don’t worry!
